Edward O. Schultze

Edward O. Schultze age 84 of Gresham, Nebraska died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at York. He was born October 12, 1920 at Gresham, NE to Otto and Anna (Pliefke) Schultze. Ed was self employed for 33 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gresham where he served on various church boards over the years. He also served as a volunteer fireman for many years. He was married to Gladys Schmidt on April 27, 1943 near Utica.

He is survived by his wife Gladys of Gresham; a son Ronald and his wife Roxanna of Gresham; daughter, Marlene and her husband John Olson of Columbus; grandchildren, Malinda (Mark) Loest, DeVon (Morgan) Grossnicklaus and Kelly Olson Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Jay Olson and Jana Bloebaum; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Anna, Abigail, Andrew and Alexander Loest, Blake and Grant Grossnicklaus and sister-in-law Betty Schultze of York. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Eugene, sisters, Mabel Strock, Jennie Dannehl, Mae Smith and Ann Parks, brothers, Theodore and Daniel.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Gresham Volunteer Fire Department or family choice.
