Jane Schirmer

Jane T. Schirmer, longtime owner and operator of Sterling’s Shoe Store of York, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at York. Jane was born in York to Samuel W. and Teresa (Zimmer) Sterling. She attended St. Joe's school in York and graduated from York College. Jane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter Carole and her husband Ken Geddes and her 2 grandchildren Meghan and Ryan all of Redmond, WA. Also surviving is her Hearthstone roommate Ruth Sward. Preceding her in death were her parents and her twin sister Jean.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 13th at 2:00 pm at the St. Josephs Catholic Church in York with the Rev. Leo Seiker. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials were directed to the Hearthstone activities fund.
