Barbara Schall
Barbara J. Schall, age 60, of York, NE, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at York. She was born May 1, 1951 at Seward, NE to Max and Opal (Pankoke) Clark. She was a graduate of York High School and a longtime employee of Grand Central Foods in York. Barb and Roger Schall were united in marriage on September 27, 1969 at York. Barb was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York, Deborah Circle, and York Red Hats. She was an avid collector, loved to read, work puzzles, and play computer games. She always looked forward to and enjoyed her annual Christmas shopping trip with her three daughters. Barb was a great cook and enjoyed having her family together, especially her grandchildren whom she cherished.
She is survived by her husband Roger of York; three daughters, Tiffany (Travis) Norton of Union City, OK, Amy (Bryan) Draper of Ponca City, OK, and Sarah (Steven) Junge of York; six grandchildren, Wyatt, Tyler, and Max Norton of Union City, Brooklyn Draper of Ponca City, Zyann and Cassidy Junge of York; parents Max and Opal Clark of York. Also surviving is one brother, Craig (Toninette) Clark of Lincoln, NE; and two sisters Marsha Oncza of Columbus, NE and Deb Clark of Demorest, GA.
Preceding her in death was a son Matthew Dale, and brother-in-law Bob Oncza.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Art Phillips officiating. Burial followed at York’s Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Adopt-a-Pet in York or to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of St. Elizabeth Regional Hospital in Lincoln, NE.
