Arthur Schall

Arthur D. Schall age 71 of York, died Monday evening June 11, 2007 at the Hearthstone Nursing Home at York. He was born December 30, 1935 at Bradshaw, NE to Ralph and Marie Schall. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1973. He spent time in the Vietnam War Zone. Prior to enlisting in the USAF he spent time in the Nebraska Army National Guard at York. After retiring, he worked for York County in the Maintenance Department. He married Susan Fisher on December 6, 1958 and to this union three children were born.

Arthur is survived by his wife Susan of Utica; daughters Deborah Wright of Arizona, Deanna Timothy of McCool Jct.; son Richard Schall of Fairmont; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Rose Mary Linder and Viola Hoeft both of York; three brothers, Ralph Schall Jr. of Orange Park FL, Larry Schall and Walter Schall both of York. Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters Patsy Schall and Shirley Wagner.

There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Mr. Schall’s wish to be cremated. There will be no memorial services for Mr. Schall. Metz Mortuary, York, is handling arrangements.
