Carolyn Roehrs

Carolyn K. Roehrs age 61 of York, formerly a longtime Hampton, NE. resident, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at York. She was born December 11, 1943 at York to William and Pauline (Snyder) Maronde. Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of York High School and was married to Rollen W. Roehrs on November 25, 1962 at York. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton and enjoyed animals of all kinds, especially horses. She loved playing cards with her card club and enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking. Carolyn cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and she especially loved Christmas which was her favorite time of the year. Carolyn is survived by her husband Rollen of York; sons, Todd Roehrs and his wife Mary of Hampton and Troy Roehrs and his wife Tammy of Blair, NE.; daughter, Michele and her husband Craig VanHousen of Hampton; grandchildren, Brandi, Ashley and Cami Roehrs of Hampton, Amber and Erika Roehrs of Blair, and Taylor, Gavin and Madison VanHousen of Hampton. Also surviving is her brother, Steven and his wife Ann Glison of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton with the Reverend Loren Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the mortuary with the family greeting friends and neighbors Monday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton, the Hampton Lutheran School or to the donor’s choice.
