Gail Rinehart

Gail Rinehart, age 92 of York, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at York. He was born March 17, 1912 near Lushton, NE to David H. and Bertha M. (Stollar) Rinehart. Gail served in the Army Air Corps in WWII serving in the European Theatre. He married Gladys R. Cotner at Belleville, KS on October 2, 1946 and they lived and farmed in the Lushton and York area. They moved to York in 1963 and Gail worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the VFW. Surviving are his wife Gladys of York, son David G. Rinehart of Columbus and 4 grandchildren, Judy (Daryl) Grennan of Byron, IL, Sheri (Shannon) Jordan of York, Katherine (Derek) Gassmann of Oklahoma City, OK & David J. Rinehart of York; 6 great-grandchildren, Caleb Grennan, Austin & McCauley Jordan and Bailey, Winton & Hunter Gassmann. Preceding him in death were his parents, grandson Timothy, great-grandson Brendon and sister Ardath Cotner.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 10th at the Metz Chapel in York with the Rev. Art Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at York with military rites.
