Emma Richert

Emma A. Richert age 99 of rural Gresham, NE died Friday, November 04, 2005 at Gresham. She was born December 15, 1905 at Freedom, NE to Henry and Louisa (Kraus) Martens and was a member of the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church at Waco. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. On April 22, 1930 she was married to Carl Martin Richert at Moorefield, NE. She is survived by a son Robert and his wife Nancy Richert of Ulysses, NE two daughters Dagmar and her husband Clarence Struebing of Ulysses, and Erma Richert of Gresham; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother August and his wife Lynette Martens of Scottsbluff, NE, two sisters Ellenor Mollhoff of Tilden, NE and Lillian and her husband Martin Wenzel of Upham, N.D. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Mark Haefner officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery near Gresham. Memorials may be directed to the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waco. Visitation begins from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday at the mortuary.
