Winifred Rhodes

Winifred E. Rhodes, age 76 of McCool Jct., NE died Friday, December 11, 2009 at McCool Jct. She was born march 13, 1933 at Johnstown, PA to Clifford and Mildred (Gore) McMillan. Winifred worked at the Motorola Co. in Phoenix, AZ making semiconductors. She attended the Brethren Church in Tempe, AZ as well as the Scottsdale Baptist Church. On July 14, 1951, she was married to Robert C. Rhodes in Phoenix. Winifred enjoyed gardening, needlework, crocheting and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Winifred is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert C. Rhodes; son Robert B. (Diane) Rhodes of Bozeman, MT; daughter Lynne Ketcham (Jerry Simcoe) of McCool Jct., NE. Grandchildren include: Robert L. (Janet) Rhodes, Samantha (Ray) Mitchell, and Michael (Kim) Rhodes all of McCrory, AR, Sgt. Geoffrey (Dali) Ketcham of Fort Bragg, NC, Nickolas Ketcham of Sutton, NE, Ethan Rhodes McRay and Aaron Rhodes McRay both of Greenville, TN, and Amanda Simcoe of Auburn, NE; eleven great grandchildren Winifred is also survived by her sister, Dorothy (John) Russell of Clinton, MD; Brother Daniel (Jan) McMillan of Ebensburg, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Winifred has chosen to be cremated. There will be no viewing or visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
