Robert E. Rhoads

Robert E. Rhoads age 69 of York, NE died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Columbus, NE. He was born June 22, 1941 to Robert W. and Dorothy E. (Collingham) Rhoads in York. Until his retirement, Robert worked for the City of York. He was a member of the York Eagles, York Elks, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and listening to country music.

Robert is survived by two sons: Ronald R. Rhoads and wife Christy of Columbus, NE and Larry L. Rhoads of York; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie L. DeVoss of Brunswick, GA and Carol and Francis Biba of Exeter, NE; and brother Gary L. Rhoads of Columbus.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Metz Chapel in York. Inurnment was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
