Edward Rhoads

Edward E. Rhoads age 98 of Fairmont, NE formerly of York, NE died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Fairmont. He was born April 13, 1909 in York County, NE and was a longtime York area farmer. After farming Ed worked at the Alfalfa Mill in York and then mowed for the City of York as well. Ed enjoyed working in his garden and doing yard work. Ed was married to Lucille McGregor.

He is survived by his son in law Marvin Bolte of Beaver Crossing, NE, Two grandchildren; Greg Bolte of Fremont, NE and Rhonda Rakes of Gresham, OR. Five Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, a daughter Sharon Bolte, his son Eugene, two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services were held Monday, July 16, 2007 at Greenwood Cemetery in York. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity.
