Polly Rettele

Polly A. (Sloan) Rettele, age 53 of Collinsville, IL, died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born July 30, 1953 in Aurora, NE to Clarence and Florence (Eklund) Sloan. Polly was a waitress at the Pie Pantry in Belleville, IL, for over 20 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Jamie (Lewis) Haines of Glen Carbon, IL and Jonnie Rettele of Chicago, IL; her father Clarence Sloan of York; and six brothers and sisters: Gary (Maureen) Sloan of York, Shirley (Joe) Plock of McCool Junction, Dale (Debbie) Sloan of York, Beverly (Jerry) Troutman of York, Paul (Kim) Sloan of York, and Bobby Sloan of York. She is also survived by her special friend Steve, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Sloan, and one brother Richard “Dickie” Sloan.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home in Belleville, IL, with the Rev. Richard Bersett officiating. Graveside services were held on, Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Stromsburg Cemetery in Stromsburg, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family.
