Ruben Regier

Ruben Regier, age 90, of Henderson, NE, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Henderson. He was born September 13, 1920 at Lushton, NE to Abraham and Susanna (Boehr) Regier. He was united in marriage to Agnes Goertzen on September 12, 1943. Ruben was a lifelong farmer in the Henderson area. He was a member of the Countryside Bible Church in Hampton, NE. He volunteered at the Senior Center in Henderson and Meals on Wheels. He was also very active in volunteering at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

He is survived by two sons, Lester (Diane) Regier of Marquette, NE and Vern (Deb) Regier of Henderson; one daughter Sharon (Richard) Wiles of Phillips, NE; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, three brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Countryside Bible Church in Hampton with the Reverend Rodney Goertzen officiating. Burial followed at the MB Cemetery at Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Henderson Nursing Home or the church.
