Jacob Regier

Jacob Regier age 88 of Henderson, NE died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Henderson. He was born January 16, 1919 in rural Henderson to Cornelius and Anna (Penner) Regier. Jacob was a mechanic at Tri-County Automotive and farmed as well. He was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church, enjoyed gardening, repairing lawn mowers, visiting in the coffee shop and was a volunteer Firefighter. On June 2, 1941 he was married to Wilma G. Friesen in Hamilton County.

He is survived by his son Calvin and his wife Lela Regier of Henderson. Two grandchildren; Joel and his wife Jennifer Regier of Lincoln and Andrew and his wife Valerie Regier of Henderson. Three great grandsons include Jacob Regier and Ty Regier both of Lincoln and Mason Regier of Henderson. A great granddaughter Avery Regier of Lincoln and Reese Regier of Henderson. Also surviving are two brothers Art and his wife MaryAnn Regier and Richard and his wife Ardith Regier all of Henderson. One sister in law Dorene Regier of North Newton, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a sister in law.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Bethesda Cemetery near Henderson with a Memorial Service following at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Henderson Care Center.
