Arlene Reetz

Arlene Emma Reetz, age 79 of York, former Lincoln resident, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at York. She was born November 14, 1927 in Thayer, NE to Otto and Clara (Nolte) Reetz. Arlene worked for Lincoln Telephone Company in York, Seward and Lincoln for 39 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church at York and had been a resident of the Hearthstone since 2003.

Arlene is survived by her brother Omer E. and his wife Mildred Reetz of York; sister-in-law Inez Quiring of Henderson and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers, Victor Reetz and Otto Vern Reetz; and her sister Aurelia Scheele.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Rev. Tim Marshall officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at York. Memorials are suggested to the church or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
