Jay Reed

Jay M. Reed, age 47, of York, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at York. Jay is the son of Bert and Marlyce (Widga) Reed and was born March 28, 1960 at Omaha. He attended York Public Schools and was a 1978 graduate of York High School. Jay had worked at 16th Street Car Wash, Sunflower Carriers and Tracy Sheet Metal. He enjoyed TaeKwando, family, holidays, Boy Scouts, celebrating his birthday and traveling. Jay was a member of the First United Methodist Church of York.

Jay is survived by his parents, Bert and Marlyce Reed of York; his sister Tracey Vaught of York; nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 6th at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Jeff Wulf officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Children’s Home Society at Omaha.
