Rex L. Real

Rex L. Real, age 87 of Fairmont, NE., died Friday, August 20, 2004 at Exeter, NE. He was born September 20, 1916 at Fairmont to Louis & Goldie (Cameron) Real. Rex was a retired farmer in the Fairmont area. He was a 50year member of the Fairmont Community Church as well as a former member of the McCool Coop Board and Rural School Board #93. He enjoyed feeding cattle, taking care of his horses and for 12 years owned and operated his own land leveling business. On October 15, 1938 he was married to Evelyn Barker at Kearney, NE.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn of Fairmont; three sons, Robert (Carol) Real of McCool Jct., Galen (Nancy) Real and Ronald Real all of Fairmont; one daughter, Barbara Fuller of Scottsdale, AZ; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Everrett (Ruby) Real of Fairmont and Raymond (Lee) Real of Glastbury, CT. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Dr. Jerry Fuller.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Rae Drake officiating. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Fairmont Community Church or the Fairmont Senior Center.
