James Quinn

James M. Quinn, age 78, of York, NE, died Friday, January 09, 2009 at York. He was born January 24, 1930 at Minneapolis, MN to Martin and Marie (Magner) Quinn. James served in both the U.S Air Force and Navy. Before moving to York, he was a clerk for the Bigham Roller Company in Chicago, IL. James was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York, and enjoyed reading, and collecting cameras and guns.

He is survived by his brother, Alferd and his wife Jan Quinn of Ft. Wayne, IN and his sister, Sister Mary Jane Quinn, O.P. of Sinsinawa, WI. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Patrick and Charles, three sisters, Catherine Lorraine, Dorothy Marie and JoAn Mary.

Memorials services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Mark Tasler officiating. Memorial services will also be held at Fort Wayne, IN at a later date. James was cremated so there esd no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
