Merna Price

Merna Price age 82 of York passed away peacefully at her home in York Sunday, February 06, 2005. She was born July 25, 1922 at Fairmont, NE., to Frank and Edith (Klein) Ritchey. Merna and her husband owned and operated the Let’s Go Inn for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York, was a volunteer with the York Area Red Cross Blood Mobile, a member of the York American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed playing Bingo, doing embroidery and watching her cardinals. On September 17, 1951 she was married to Richard W. Price at York. She is survived by a daughter Debbie and her husband Charles Sanders of York and one brother Marlin and his wife Gloria Ritchey of Valentine, NE. She is also survived by special friends Jim and his wife Dorothy Jose of York and her very special little buddy ‘Ritchey’ along with several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arthur and Earl, five sisters, Lucille, Helen, Bernice, Mildred and Vivian.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Jeff Wulf officiating. Inurnment will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to ‘Adopt-A-Pet’. No visitation or viewing as her body was cremated.
