Bobby Powers

Bobby J. Powers, age 29, of Waco passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 in Elba, NE as a result of a fishing accident. He was born September 30, 1976 in York to Robert and Mary Ann (Steele) Powers. On May 25, 2002 he was married to Emily Thomsen at York. Bobby worked as a welder. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his dogs.

Bobby is survived by his wife Emily and son Haden, both of Waco, one brother, Cecil Powers of St. Paul; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Luke Burson of Elba; mother, Mary Ann Powers of St. Paul; one niece, Nicole Burson of Elba; two nephews, Joshua Burson of Lincoln and Mason Burson of Grand Island; and parents-in-law, Gaylen and Beth Thomsen of York. Also surviving is special young friend, Shante Stout of St. Paul.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverends Tim Marshall and Mike Neidow officiating. Burial services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Memorials may be directed to the family.
