Arlene Pfeiffer

Arlene K. Pfeiffer, age 85, formerly of York, NE, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Lincoln, NE. She was born September 19, 1925 to Chris and Clara (Jensen) Petersen at rural Winside, NE. She taught country school for four years, before marrying. On June 16, 1946, Arlene was united in marriage to Clarence F. Pfeiffer at Winside. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Arlene is survived by sons: Lee (Jodene) Pfeiffer of Phoenix, AZ, Larry (Sharon) Pfeiffer of Lincoln, Monte (Paula) Pfeiffer of Winside, and Mitch (Julie) Pfeiffer of Mullen, NE; daughter Kathy (Keith) Wacker of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother-in-law John Carson of Hagerstown, MD; and sisters-in-law Helen Weible and Marie Pfeiffer, both of Wayne, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside, NE with the Reverend Glenn Kietzmann officiating. Inurnment was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Winside. Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Winside Cemetery Foundation, or Tabitha Hospice in Lincoln. Arlene has been cremated, no viewing or visitation.
