Greg Peters

Gregory “Greg” Peters age 46 of Overland Park, KS formerly of York, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Overland Park. He was born September 25, 1961 at Henderson, NE to Lloyd and Donna (Rohde) Peters. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in York and graduated from York High School in 1979. On June 11, 1994 he was married to Catherine Matthews at Lincoln, NE. Greg served in the National Guard for 4 years and then went on to work for Cook Foods in Lincoln before being transferred to Kansas City, KS several years ago.

Greg is survived by his son Ryan Peters of Overland Park, KS, his mother Donna Morner of Waco, NE, two brothers; Gene and his wife Tanya Peters of San Diego, CA and Jerry Peters of Lincoln. Also surviving is his former wife Cathy of Overland Park, KS . He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather.

Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2008 at St John’s Lutheran Church at Waco with the Reverends Paul T. Kern and Loren Cooper officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at a later time. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Hour or to the family for his son Ryan’s educational fund.
