Clara Blase Parker

Clara Bertha Blasé Parker age 98 of York, NE died peacefully Saturday, March 07, 2009 at York. Clara was born October 31, 1910 to Adolph and Emma (Heiden) Dose northeast of Hampton, NE. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton and attended country school at Hampton. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. In August of 1932 she was married to Arnold E. Blasé and they farmed Northeast of Hampton. They were blessed with a daughter, Betty and a son, Milan. In 1947 the family moved to Polk. In 1949 her husband Arnold was called to his Eternal Home. In 1950 the family moved to York, NE where Clara worked at Standard Brand’s, York Memorial Home and was a dental assistant at Roehrs & Roehrs until she retired. In 1973 she was married to Louis J. Parker. Louis was called to his Eternal Home in 1992. Clara was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York and enjoyed singing German songs. She also enjoyed being around her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Betty A. Anderson of Jacksonville, FL., her son Milan and his wife Karen Blasé of Hampton, 4 grandchildren; Aaron Anderson of Jacksonville, Kim Blasé of Bradshaw, Kevin and his wife Jodie Blasé of Polk and Kurt and his wife Renee Blasé of Doniphan 8 Great Grandchildren 1 Great great grandchild 4 step children and many step grandchildren, a sister in law Shirley Blasé, brother in law Ivan Parker and a host of friends and relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents Adolph and Emma Dose, both husbands Arnold Blasé and Louis Parker, her brother Gerhard Dose and a sister Emma Roehrs.

Funeral services are scheduled 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Polk, NE. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or School in York. Visitation begins after 5:00 pm Sunday at Metz Mortuary with her family greeting friends 7:00-8:30 pm Monday evening at the mortuary.
