Raymond Ochsner

Raymond Ochsner, age 95 of York, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at York. He was born April 18, 1910 in Sutton, NE to Adam and Caroline (Trautmann) Ochsner. Raymond was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed Church in Sutton and grew up in the Sutton area, attending Dist. 29 in Clay County. He married Lillie Linder at York on Oct. 28, 1935 and they had two children, Jerry Lee and Kathleen. Raymond farmed until 1956 when they moved to York and he was employed as a mechanic for several years. Survivors include his daughter Kathleen and her husband Leo Deprez of York; 3 grandchildren, Randy (Suzanne) Deprez of Omaha, Kevin Deprez of Omaha and Karen (Michael) Smith of Lincoln; 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Scott Deprez of Omaha and Joshua and Timothy Smith of Lincoln; nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, son, parents, brother LaVern and sister Thelma.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the East Avenue United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Michael Laing officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at the Sutton Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will begin at 5 pm Monday at the mortuary.
