Ella Obermier

Ella H. Obermier, age 93 of Fairmont, NE, formerly of York, NE died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Fairmont. She was born March 13, 1916 at Waco, NE to Herman and Anna (Fuss) Blum. Ella was united in marriage to Ray C. Obermier on December 11, 1938 at Waco. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in York and the Faith LWML. She enjoyed quilting in her free time.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Joyce and her husband Richard Myers of Fremont, NE and Jan and her husband John Wright of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ray, daughter JoDell, sister Mildred Stindt, brother Ernest Blum and great-grandson Andrew Madsen.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., at the Faith Lutheran Church, York, NE with the Reverend Allen Bergstrazer officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday at Metz Mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church, Fairview Manor or Aseracare Hospice.
