Raymond C. Nielsen age 77 of York, Nebraska died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at York.
He was born May 31, 1927 at Tarkio, MO., to Raymond A. and Ruth (Smith) Nielsen. Ray was a longtime truck driver and factory worker having been employed at the Uniroyal Company at Red Oak, IA.
A World War II veteran he was a member of the York American Legion Bolton Post #19 and the V.F.W. #10814. Raymond also loved doing woodworking and attended the New Heights Assembly of God Church in York.
On January 8, 1950 he was married to Goldie Davidson at Hamburg, IA.
He is survived by his wife Goldie of York,
3 Grandchildren including Doug and his wife Liana Holt of Columbus, Diana Graham of York and Cheryl Otts of Omaha.

11 Great Great Grandchildren.
Also surviving is one brother Robert and his wife Ann Nielsen of Shenandoah. IA. Two sisters, Charlene and her husband Lloyd Carter of Essex, IA and Susie and her husband Ray Villalpando of Sacramento, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Hazel Holt and Linda Graham.
A brother John Nielsen and an infant brother, one sister Alice Talley and an infant sister. Also one granddaughter Teresa Coon and two infant great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, April 25, 2005 at the Metz Chapel with the Reverend Doug Holt officiating with burial in York’s Greenwood Cemetery.
