Goldie Nielsen

Goldie L. Nielsen age 81 of York, Nebraska died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at York. She was born February 8, 1924 at Houston, Missouri to Roy and Elfa (Wallace) Davidson and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in York. She was formerly employed at Interstate Nurseries at Hamburg and Shenandoah Iowa. She loved to read, play cards and visit with her many friends. On January 8, 1950 she was married to Raymond C. Nielsen at Hamburg. She is survived by a brother Fred Davidson of Charles City, IA., and a sister in law Jenny Davidson of Omaha; 3 Grandchildren, Diana Graham of York, Doug and his wife Liana Holt of Columbus and Cheryl Otts of Council Bluffs, IA; 16 Great Grandchildren, Rocky and Danielle Stiehl of Osseo, WI., Amber Stiehl of Menomonie, WI., and Brandon Stiehl of Fountain City, WI, Jamie and Nick Smith of York, NE., Tabitha and Jamie Miller of Grand Blanc, MI and B.J. Stell of York. Jenipher Socha of Austin, TX Traci and Jjonnathon Omana of Omaha, Bryan Parker of Austin, TX and Mandi and Clifford Ellis of Council Bluffs, IA. Doug Holt Jr, Danica Holt, Mitchell Holt, Bennett Holt, Christina Holt and Heather Holt all of Columbus; 12 Great Great Grandchildren, Brooke Miller and Ty Miller both of Grand Blanc, MI Cole Stell, Demitrius Smith, Ariana Smith, Baylee Smith and Zain Smith all of York. Christian Stiehl and Kayley Stiehl both of Osseo, WI, Laci Parker, Tristhan Omana and Jr Ellis all of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Hazel Holt and Linda Graham, brother Henry Davidson, also an infant sister, two sisters Geraldine Murr and Florence Riddle, an infant brother and a granddaughter Teresa Holt Coon and a sister in law Betty Davidson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Metz Chapel with the Rev Doug Holt officiating. Burial will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of the mortuary.
