Raymond Naber

Raymond G. Naber age 89 of York, NE past away peacefully Wednesday, October 03, 2007 at York. He was born May 22, 1918 in rural York county to Buchard and Mary (Staehr) Naber. Raymond owned and operated Naber’s Repair in York and was also a dairy farmer near Waco as well. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York where he served as a former Elder. He was also a member of the Lutheran’s Layman League, the Soil Conservation Board and the Waco Fire Board. He and his wife Paula enjoyed camping with the Lutheran Family Campers. On August 10, 1939 he was married to Paula Brackhan at St John’s Church at Waco.

He is survived by two sons, Myron and his wife Julie Naber of York and Galen and his wife Lynette Naber also of York. One daughter Bev and her husband Paul Linder-Eide of Friend, NE. Also surviving is a former son in law Meryl and his wife Cheryl Rich of Garland, NE. Seven Grandchildren, sixteen Great Grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Paula, his daughter Kathy Rich, four brothers, Edward, Henry, Martin B and Alvin Naber, three sisters, Hannah Gloystein, Molly Gloystein and Martha Hillmer, a son in law Ralph Linder and a great grandson Alex Linder.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2007 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverends Mike Neidow and Tim Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at York. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.
