Lillian Amelia Naber age 82 of Utica, NE died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Utica Community Home. She was born on January 22, 1925 at rural Milford, NE to Otto W. and Amelia (Unzicker) Anderson. Lillian spent her formative years at the Star School in rural Goehner, NE and later graduated from Milford High School. In June of 1925 she became a member of Godís family through baptism and reaffirmed her faith May of 1939 through confirmation at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner. She was united in marriage to Virgil E. Naber on June 3, 1945 at Goehner. They spent 30 plus years farming in rural Waco. Lillian was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Waco, NE where she enjoyed membership of the Ladies Aide. She was a member of the SUN Club and enjoyed shopping, poetry and music. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Connie (Dennis) Erks of Seward, NE; Gloria (Fred) Strickert of Waverly, IA; Cynthia D. (Larry) Heine of Waco, NE; Annette (Jeff) Bertelson of Hartland, WI; and Gale (Denise) Naber of Waco; Grandchildren: Nicole (Dave) Ringler and their children Zachary, Ethan and Noah of Lincoln; Scott (Missy) Erks and their son Myron of Springdale, AR; Angela (John) Vaaler and their children Maria and Emma of Holly Springs, NC; Benjamin (Stephanie) Strickert and their daughter Isabella of Tripoli, IA; Rachel (Adam) McClellan of Stanfield, NC; Greg Heine and his son Spencer of Neola, IA; Tena (Chad) Ehlers and their sons Wyatt and Samuel of Waco; Heather Bertelson and Matthew Bertelson both of Hartland, WI; Jonathan (Tori) Naber of Fort Rocker, AL and their daughter Harlee; Krista Naber of Lincoln, Eric Naber of Waco and Ryan Naber also of Waco. Also surviving are her sisters: Dorothy Uffelman of Waco and Mildred (Harlan) Naber of Utica; brother: Dale (Elaine) Anderson of Milford; sister-in-law Norma Anderson of Syracuse, NE; brothers-in-law: Ralph (Lorraine) Naber, Wilber (Mildred) Naber, and Gilbert (Shirley) Naber all of Waco. Lillian also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, two brothers Raymond and Lloyd and sister Clara.
When God sends forth a spotless soul

Services were Sunday, October 7, 2007 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Waco with the Reverend Paul Kern officiating. Burial followed at St. Johnís Cemetery, Waco, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
