Katherine Mundt

Katherine Lea (Frain) Mundt, age 55 of York, NE, died Monday, September, 22, 2008 at Grand Island, NE. She was born on June 21, 1953 at Palmer, NE to Lloyd E. and Frances A. (Kersenbrock) Mundt. Kathy worked for several years as a cosmetologist in the York area. She also worked for a time at the Houchen Bindery in Utica and Mosiac in York as well. She was also employed for a time at Grand Central Super Value, York Public Schools as well as at the Hearthstone in York In her free time she enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter Annette Frain and her husband Rob Lawson of Greensboro, NC and two sisters, Barbara McGraw and her husband Leland McGraw III of Grand Island, NE and Linda Meltzer-Agin and her husband Noah Hein of Blanco, CO. Also surviving is a special friend, John Mann of York. Kathy is also survived by nieces and nephews, Matthew McGraw, David McGraw, Connie Reynolds, Donna Kingsley, Darlene Kingsley, Dean Kingsley, Darrian Kingsley, Ruth Kingsley Lisa Pinteo and Michael Meltzer Agin. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lucille Mundt and brother Duane Dawes.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Metz Chapel in York. Graveside services were then held at 3:30 pm Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Nebraska Kidney Foundation.
