Marian Monnier

Marian M. Monnier age 93 of York, NE, formerly of Bradshaw, NE, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at York. She was born December 28, 1915 at York to Ralph and Effie (Wildman) Watt. Marian and Paul Monnier were united in marriage April 27, 1944 at Belleville, KS and together they farmed in the Bradshaw area. Marian loved living and working on the family farm and had a “green thumb” when it came to flowers and gardening. Her family was her first priority and she enjoyed the times they could spend together.

Survivors include her sons James Monnier and his wife Jean and Thomas Monnier and his wife Nancy all of Bradshaw, NE; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Esther Monnier of York; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2002 and son Stephen in 1972.

Marian chose to be cremated with no services. Private family inurnment will be held at the Council Cemetery, York, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
