Lawrence Milton

Lawrence L. Milton, age 80 of York, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at York. He was born August 19, 1928 at Gordon, NE to Earl and Ethel (Patterson) Milton. Following his move to York in 1980, Lawrence worked as a mechanic and carpenter in the York area and was a former member of the York Eagles Club. He was united in marriage to Virginia Bennett in Witten, SD on June 6, 1954.

Lawrence is survived by three sons: Earl (Mary) Milton of Grand Island, NE, Randy Milton of York, NE, Russell (Mary) Milton of Chadron, NE; one daughter Deborah (Wayne) Homan of Broken Bow, NE; six grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one half sister Claire (Bob) Hueble from IL; and two nephews, Terry Milton from Richmond,VA and Ricky Milton from Tacoma, WA.. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Doug and a brother Richard.

Lawrence was cremated and there will be no viewing, visitation or services. Private family inurnment services will be held in Winner, SD. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
