Virgie McConnell

Virgie L. McConnell, age 90 of Stromsburg, NE died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at York. She was born February 15, 1919 to JW and Minnie Mae (Hammock) McConnell at Holly, Colorado.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Norma (Dennis) Smart of York; four grandchildren: Deb Johnson of Lead, South Dakota, Denise Smart-Glassburner of York, John Wayne Smart of York, and Robert Eugene Smart of York; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren, three nieces, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Greenwood Cemetery in York with the Reverend Willis Pauls officiating. No visitation. Memorials may be directed to San Diego Animal Rescue.
