Metz Mortuary 109 So. Lincoln Ave. York, NE 68456 402-362-3351 Jo Anne Matzner, age 39, of York, NE, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at Lincoln, NE. She was born August 4, 1970 at York to Donald L. and Peggy J. (Dearing) Matzner. Jo Anne graduated from York High School and worked at the Mosiac Workshop in York. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Jo Anne was cared for at her home by Region V Services of York. She enjoyed attending church, animals, going to McDonalds, spending time with her family and watching all sporting events, especially the Cornhuskers.

Survivors include parents, Don and Peg Matzner of York; brother, Jim (Kathy) Matzner of McCool Jct., NE; sisters, Janet Matzner of Gresham, Julie (Chad) Hoffman of York and her twin sister Jean Anne Matzner also of York. Also surviving is former sister-in-law Tina (Gene) Richards of McCool Jct; her uncle, Dr. Richard (Rosland) Dearing of Winnipeg, Canada and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding Jo Anne in death was her brother, Jerry.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Art Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Gresham, NE. Visitation will begin after 5:00 p.m., Wednesday at the mortuary with the family greeting friends Thursday evening 7–8:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Special Olympics or the Pediatric Neurotransmitter Disease Association.
