RUBY MATHIASEN

Ruby Frances (Ledford) Mathiasen, age 95, of Fresno, California died Sunday, May 29, 2005. She was born near Blue Vale, York County, Nebraska on April 25, 1910. Ruby was united in marriage to Arthur Donald Mathiasen on March 15, 1930 in York, NE. They moved to Eureka, CA in 1960. “Donald” passed away in 1968. Ruby was active in the Community Church, volunteered in the Healdsburg Hospital, and public schools. Ruby moved into an assisted living community in Windsor, CA in 1999. In October 2004, she moved to Fresno.

Ruby is survived by two sons Donald Mathiasen and special friend Pat Smith of El Cajon, CA and Gale Mathiasen and wife Virginia of Albuquerque, NM; two daughters LeAnne Lavagnino and husband Angelo of Clovis, CA and Nyla Jones and husband Larry of Lakeport, CA; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; a daughter-in-law, Lois Mathiasen; and one granddaughter Angela Lavagnino.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 18th at 11:00 am at McCool United Methodist Church with Reverend Sandra Atkins presiding. Inurnment will follow at McCool Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
