Lori Marsh

Lori Beth Marsh, age 33 of Springfield, MO, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Springfield. She was born July 8, 1975 at York, NE to Roger and Loretta (Siffring) Wyatt. Lori graduated from York High School in 1993, attended Creighton University for one year and then graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul MN in 1997 with her Bachelor’s Degree in church music. She was united in marriage to Joseph Allen Marsh Jr. in York on July 20 1996. To this union were born two children, Lillian Rose and Eleanor Susan.

Lori, Al and their children lived in Springfield, MO. The first year they lived there, Lori served as Music Director at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She sang in the church choir, belonged to the Home School Association, her book club, M.O.P.S. and was especially active in the campaign to fight Lupus, the debilitating disease that eventually took her life. Lori was always busy with her family, church and her many hobbies which included painting, knitting, singing, card making, sewing, and making purses and jewelry. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Al Marsh of Springfield; two daughters, Lillian and Eleanor Marsh of Springfield; mother, Loretta Wyatt of Stromsburg, NE; brother, Doug Wyatt and his wife Kathy of Lincoln, NE; sister, Susan and her husband Jay Leif of Benedict, NE; father and mother-in-law, Pastor Joe and Mary Jo Marsh of Minneapolis, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Jody Marsh of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Amy and her husband Eric Schutte of Minneapolis, MN; grandparents-in-law, Bob and Elsie Marsh of Nixa, MO. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services are schedule for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Burial will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Her family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 pm also at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the Lupus Foundation or to the family for later designation.
