Fay Lytle
Fay Lucille Lytle, 88 of Benedict, NE died Sunday, November 6, 2005 in Omaha.
She was born September 9, 1917 on a farm near Waco, NE to Harvey E. and Anna Belle (Richardson) Sherman. She graduated from Benedict High School in 1935.
Fay married Don Lytle on March 8, 1938 in Marysville, Kansas. The couple lived and farmed near Benedict. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Benedict. She swam almost every day at the community center in York. Fay also enjoyed doing ceramics and each of her family members have one of her porcelain dolls by which to remember her.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Gary Folts; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Jean Lytle all of Benedict; grandchildren Debbie and Rick Kinning of Golden, CO; Chris Potter of Montreal, Canada; Scott Folts, Steven and Lynn Folts of Benedict; Kevin and Lisa Lytle of Scottsdale, Arizona; and Craig and Cheri Lytle of Omaha; seven great-grandchildren; sister Vivian Rich of Mesa, Arizona; sisters-in-law Rose Sherman of York, Dot Sherman of Houston, Texas and Sally Martin of Rapid City, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, parents, two brothers, sister, daughter Linda Potter, and great-granddaughter Courtney Folts.
You are invited to celebrate Fay’s life with the family on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Benedict. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the donor’s choice. Fay’s wish was to be cremated. There will be no visitation or burial. Condolences may be emailed to metz@metzmortuary.com.
