Wayne Lunney

Wayne Lunney, 95, of York died Friday, July 23, 2004. Born near Cordova, NE, son of George and Laura (Gard) Lunney, also of York. Wayne was a retired farmer, cattle feeder, investor and businessman. For several years in the 1940 and 1950's he was the owner operator of Lunney Oil Company located on the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Nobes Rd. in York. His interests included his participation in the Avion Travel Club and enjoying his winters living in Weslaco, TX He was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 75 years.

Survivors include his sister, Arleen Watt, nephew, Terry (Judy) Watt of York and niece, Soni (Rod) Anderson of Omaha and several great and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents both in 1960.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 27th at 11:00 AM at Metz Chapel in York with the Rev. Jeff Wulf officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials to family choice.
