Leslie Lundell
Leslie “Jean” Lundell, age 93 of Bradshaw, NE died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at York. He was born August 16, 1915 at Benson, NE to Olrich and Nellie (Keller) Lundell. Jean retired from the military as a Lieutenant Colonel after 26 years, where he served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He received his degree in chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Jean enjoyed traveling and all things related to railroads. He was united in marriage to Virginia Caroline Deibel on August 2, 1947 at Langley Field, Virginia.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Virginia Caroline of Bradshaw; son Lee Lundell of Argyle, TX; daugher Dr. Caroline J. Lundell-Scott and her husband William Scott of Bath, SD; granddaughter Rachel Scott of San Antonio, TX; and brother Ralph and his wife Jean Lundell of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Military graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, NE.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., Sunday at Metz Mortuary in York.
