SADIE LONG

Sadie A. Long age 93 of Hastings, NE died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Hastings. She was born December 9, 1911 in rural Gresham, NE to Alba and Sadie (Lauer) Burrier. Sadie was a longtime secretary of the McCool Junction Public Schools for over 20 years. She was a member of the McCool United Methodist Church, the Lutheran Quilting Club, the McCool Garden Club and loved to crochet.On August 12, 1931 she was married to Lester L. Long at York.

She is survived by one son Dennis and his wife Sharon Long of Kearney, NE and a daughter Betty and her husband Melvin Bunde of Hastings; 4 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son George, one great grandson, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the McCool Junction United Methodist Church with burial in the McCool Cemetery north of town. Visitation begins after 5:00 pm., Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the McCool Public Schools.
