Lois Lee

Lois C. Lee age 83 of Stromsburg, NE formerly of York, NE died Saturday, Sept 12, 2009 at Osceola, NE. She was born October 16, 1925 at Walla Walla, WA to Ray H. and Eleanor (Noland) Kincheloe and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York. She graduated from the Oregon College of Education in 1946 with her teaching certificate. Lois loved to read, write letters to missionaries and was a volunteer at the Retardation Center in Aloha, OR. She was Sunday School Secretary for many years and enjoyed corresponding with family and in-laws about family history. On December 28, 1946 she was united in marriage to Vernet C. Lee at Hillsboro, OR.

She is survived by her son Timothy Lee of York and her daughter Barbara and her husband Reverend Cliff VanderBurgh of Sanborn, IA. 8 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild. Also surviving is her brother James and his wife IdaLou Kincheloe of Aloha, OR and her sister Larae and her husband Reverend Robert Parry of Pasadena, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Norman Todd Lee and a stillborn granddaughter Anna.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg, NE with the Revered Willis Pauls officiating. Further memorial services will be held at a later date in Portland, OR. Burial will take place in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Visitation will be held at the Midwest Covenant home one hour prior to services. Memorials may be directed to West Portland United Methodist Church or to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
