Hershel Leach

Hershel “Paul” Leach age 85 of York, NE, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at York. He was born August 1, 1923 at Richards, CO to Harry and Jenny (Coburn) Leach. Over the years, Paul was involved in farming, drove truck and worked in the coal mines. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church. Paul was a caring person who enjoyed helping people. He also enjoyed nature, pets, and was an avid card player.

He is survived by his sister Martha Cooksey of Seward, NE; six nephews, Earl Fredrick Stebbins and his wife Marilyn of York, Earl Cooksey and his wife Nancy of Seward, NE, Rick Tummel and his wife Lorretta of Lima, Ohio, Randy Tummel and his wife Rachel of Rocks Spring, WY, Robby Tummel of Northwood, OH and Ronnie Tummel Jr. and his wife Beth of Rock Springs, WY; three nieces, Cheryl Mendez of Vislia, CA, Suzie Tummel of Lima OH and Sue Simmons of Lenark Village, FL. Preceding him in death were his parents, first wife Judy, sisters Mabel Ann and Mary and brothers, Jack, Bill, Van and Tim.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Olive Hill Cemetery, Holton KS. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
