Alice Kugler

Alice Edith (Lindemann) Kugler, age 96, of York, NE, died Monday August 29, 2011 at York. She was born June 27, 1915 to Frank and Clara (Dollase) Lindemann at Watertown, Wisconsin. Alice was united in marriage to Pastor Samuel Kugler on October 12, 1940 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. She was a homemaker and shoemaker and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church (WELS) in York.

Alice is survived by her son Rev. Richard (Linda) Kugler of Yuma, AZ; daughter Lois (Rev. Raymond) Beckmann of Waco, NE; and grandchildren: Miriam (Nicholas) Borns and their children Gabriela and Moira of Mequon, WI, Melanie (Justin) Kennedy and their daughter Haley of Norfolk, NE, Kristen (Rev. Robert) Lawson and their children Kayelynn, Samuel, and Emma of Escondido, CA, Jared (Claire) Beckmann and their daughter Grace of Lincoln, NE, Andrew Kugler of San Jose, CA, Lisa (Brandan) Turner of Waverly, NE, and Timothy (Susanne) Beckmann and their children Jayden and Lydia of Lincoln, NE. Also surviving is her sister Doris Nehls and two brothers Richard Lindemann and Frank (Georgianne) Lindemann all of Watertown, WI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2001 and infant son Paul in 1944.

Graveside services were held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA. Memorials may be directed to Bethel Lutheran Church, York or Nebraska Lutheran High School or Trinity Elementary School, both Waco. Memorial services in York will be held at a later date.
