Fredrick Kropf
Fredrick J. “Fred” Kropf age 76 of Ericson, NE, formerly of York, died Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Ord, NE. He was born May 20, 1931 at Emerson, NE to Frederick and Henrietta F. (Von Seggern) Kropf. Fred was a diesel mechanic and had previously worked at Consumers Public Power and International Harvester in York. He was a member of the York Eagles Club and the York American Legion. Fred enjoyed collecting miniature cars and trucks and was an avid sportsman. Fred was first married to Mary Jo Hogsten on May 1, 1953. Then he was married to JoAnn Lyons on May 25, 1991 at York and they lived at Benedict and York NE for ten years prior to moving to Ericson.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn of Ericson; son Rick (Brenda) Kropf of Norfolk, NE; daughters: Rev. Gloria Moore of Kansas City, KS and Karla (Jay) Werner of Humphrey, NE; step-sons: Doug Tyson of Syracuse, NE and Jason Tyson of Lincoln; step-daughters: Tammy (Larry) McBride of Phillips, NE, Tracey (Robert) Huber of Lancaster, PA, Heather (Scott) McClay of Ericson and Terri Tyson of Longmont, CO.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren;
one brother Kenny and his wife Terry Kropf of South Sioux City, NE and a sister Bernice Barto also of South Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Mary Jo, and his brother Eugene.
