Eileen Klundt

Eileen E. Klundt, age 81 of Waco, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Stromsburg. She was born March 29, 1928 in rural York County to Charles and Genevieve (Helsing) Christian. Eileen was married to Otto Klundt on April 27, 1946 at Belleville, KS. She was an active member of the Waco United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband Otto of Waco; son Gary of York; daughters Kay Klundt of Seward and Vicki & Roger Nelson of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Amy (Larry) Fransson of Milford, NE, Christopher Nelson of Denver, CO, Amy (Ben) Hitch of Denver; and 2 great-grandchildren, Savannah Morrison of Milford and Colton Hitch of Denver. Also surviving are her brothers, Richard & Norma Christian of McCool Jct and Harold “Bub” & Jane Christian of York and her sisters, Laura & Bill Dickey of Bradshaw, Lois & Merle Luebbe of Seward and Darlene & Bob Otte of Overland Park, KS. Preceding her in death were her parents, twin sister Imogene and sister LaVonne.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Pat Norris officiating. Burial followed at the Utica Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
