Greg Kimberly

Greg L. Kimberly, age 59 of York, NE, died Monday, March 23, 2009 in Stromsburg. He was born March 17, 1950 at Lewellyn, NE to John and Bonnie (Read) Kimberly. Greg did janitorial work in the York area and was an avid Husker football fan. His love of animals led him to volunteer at York’s Adopt-A-Pet. Greg loved his family and friends and enjoyed the time they spent together. On June 11, 1983, he was united in marriage to Charleen Feldt at Grand Island, NE.

Survivors include his wife Charleen of York; four very special cats: Beau, Sophie, Abby and Josh; his mother Bonnie of Grand Island; two sisters, Kelly Kimberly and her husband Gary Fuller of Houston, TX and Kerry Kimberly and her friend Jeff Parish of Lincoln, NE. Also surviving are cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Doug.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, March 27, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Grand Island, NE with the Reverend Bev Lanzendorf officiating. Private graveside services will be held at a later time. It was Greg’s choice to be cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
