Arthur Keller
Arthur D. Keller, age 66 of York, NE, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at York. He was born January 26, 1943 at Fairview, MT to Herman and Blanche (Hartland) Keller. Arthur attended York College for two years. He retired in 2006 from York Public Schools after 41 years as Transportation Director. He was a member of the East Hill Church of Christ where he was a deacon. He was a member of the Nebraska Supervisor Transportation Association and the National Association of Pupil Transportation. Arthur and Susanne Merches were united in marriage on February 2, 1964 at Miles City, MT.
Left to cherish Arthur’s memory is his wife Susanne of York; children: Ivan (Vickie) Keller of York, Stephanie (Gary) Yeager of Grand Junction, CO, and Dan (Lori) Keller of York; sisters: Margaret Schantz of Billings, MT, Martha (Ron Sr.) Mogul of York, Marilyn (Curtis) Petrik of Plentywood, MT; brother LeRoy (Cec) Keller of Sidney, MT.
Arthur is also survived by his mother Blanche of York; grandchildren: Nicole Etherton of Kearney, NE, Alexis Keller of Seward, NE, Morgan (Tony) Willcock of Lincoln, NE, Danner, Tirzah, Laesha, Bree, Javen, Nekoda, Micah, Cadence, and Kanacy Yeager of Grand Junction, CO, Michael Keller of Ft. Riley, KS, Derek (Danielle) Keller of Newport News, VA, and Taylor Keller of York; great-grandchildren: Alezander Willcock of Lincoln and Nichaelous Lamonde of Seward, NE; brother-in-law Mark (Carol) Merches of Mason City, IA; sister-in-law Kathy (Bruce) McGee of Laurel, MT and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, father Herman, infant brother Warren, and brother-in-law John Schantz.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 1, 2010 at the East Hill Church of Christ in York with Bob Lewis and Rick Eldred officiating. Interment was held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 4th, 2010 at Mona Cemetery in Montana. Memorials may be directed to Nebraska Youth Camp, York College, or Donor’s Choice.
