James Keefer

James L. Keefer age 55 of York, NE died Friday, July 2, 2010 at York. He was born August 27, 1954 at Alliance, NE. He graduated from York High School, was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his parents Claudia and Mel Braden of York, his brother Richard Keefer of Mayfield, KY, his two sisters Charlene and her husband Steve Neville of Sacramento, CA, and Veronica and her husband Marty Ognowski of San Antonio, TX, a half brother Jerry and his wife Teresa Braden of Redmond, OR and his half sister Sandra Ash of Torrington, WY. Also surviving are his former wives Jane Keefer and their daughter Jaina of Brock, NE and Sharon and her husband Jerry Sikes of Ceresco, NE and step son Clay Ehlers of Lincoln, NE, his daughter Whitney and her husband Travis Mason also of Lincoln and his son Klifton Keefer of Wahoo, NE. Five grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial services were held at Friday, July 16th at 7:00 pm at the Metz Chapel. Private family inurnment to be held at a later time. Memorials may be directed to the family.
