Donna E. Kaliff

Donna E. Kaliff age 84 of McCool Junction, NE died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Lincoln. She was born September 14, 1924 at rural Bradshaw, NE to Herman and Ida (Blank) Wandersee. Donna enjoyed making quilts, gardening and cooking for her family. She was a longtime member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in McCool Jct., Lutheran Church Women and the McCool Jct American Legion Post Auxiliary. On June 28, 1942 she was married to Robert L. Kaliff at York, NE.

She is survived by three sons, Randy of Utica, NE, Dale Stromsburg, NE and Alan of Lancaster, CA; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sister’s in law, Shirley Holt of York, Alice Gleason, Irene Lord and Jayne Kaliff all of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Larry and a brother.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in McCool Jct. with the Reverend Barbara L. Bauer officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery west of McCool Jct. Memorials may be directed to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in McCool Jct. or to the McCool Jct. American Legion Post Auxiliary. Visitation begins after 5:00 pm Thursday with her family meeting friends Friday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 at the mortuary.
