Harry V. Jones

Harry V. Jones, age 80 of McCool Jct., NE died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Exeter, NE. He was born March 5, 1924 at Craig, Nebraska to Henry and Kathleen (Higgins) Jones. He was married to Helen McFadden on March 16, 1944 at Omaha, NE and they owned and operated Jones Thriftway in McCool Jct. for many years. Harry was then employed by the McCool Co-op until his retirement. He was a member of the York Jehovah’s Witnesses and the American Legion.

He is survived by his son, William (Peg) Jones of Lincoln, NE; three daughters, Sandra Fristron of Palm Bay, Fl., Linda Galaway of York, and Julie (Mark) Rea of McCool Jct. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant daughters Elizabeth & Ruth Ann and 2 brothers, Jack & Dick.

Mr. Jones has been cremated and graveside services will be held at a later date.
