Donald Hattel Jones

Donald Hattel Jones age 76 of Garland, NE., died Monday, August 23, 2004 at Seward. He was born July 8, 1928 at Thayer, NE., to James William and Xenia Burtine (Hattel) Jones. Don was retired from the manufacturing business having worked at the Swift Packing Company and then Bear Manufacturing both in Lincoln. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, enjoyed fishing and visiting with his friends.

He is survived by two sisters, Maxine Johnson of Dennison, IA., and Xenia Lindner of Lincoln. Also a special friend Delbert Baugh. Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Friday at the Metz Chapel in York. Burial with military honors will be in the Rosemond Cemetery northeast of York. Memorials may be directed to the family.
